Philippine Air Force anticipates new assets
The Philippine Air Force (PAF) celebrated its 72nd anniversary at the Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base on 2 July, and its commanding general Lt Gen Rozano Briguez used the formal occasion to highlight new platforms that the force is expecting in the coming year or so.
First off the rank, and due later this month, is a C295 aircraft. Airbus Defence & Space was awarded this €28.8 million ($32.5 million) contract on 16 October 2018. It is outfitted as a C2 aircraft and will be operated by the 250th Presidential Airlift Wing to replace a Fokker F27 Friendship. The PAF
